Gym Manager – Luton Grappling Club - Location: Luton Town Centre -Position: Full-Time -Salary: Competitive – Based on Experience
About Us Luton Grappling Club is a growing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy based in the heart of Luton. We are dedicated to high-level BJJ training while building a strong, respectful, and supportive community. Our focus is on developing confidence, discipline, resilience, and skill in both adults and juniors.
As we continue to grow, we are looking for a driven and professional Gym Manager to help lead the academy into its next phase.
The Role This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing the day-to-day operations of the academy. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth running of the gym, excellent member experience, and supporting continued growth.
Key Responsibilities Oversee daily gym operations and class coordination
Manage memberships, payments, and enquiries
Deliver exceptional front-of-house customer service
Support marketing efforts (social media, promotions, community outreach)
Drive membership growth and retention
Organise events, gradings, and competitions
Support and coordinate coaching staff
Maintain cleanliness, health & safety, and professional standards
What We’re Looking For Previous management or leadership experience
Strong organisational and communication skills
Confident, professional, and proactive attitude
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Passion for fitness, martial arts, or community building
Basic admin and computer skills
Desirable (but not essential): Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu experience
Sales or membership growth background
Social media/content experience
First Aid certification
