Description
Bespoke Handmade Transmission Line speakers.
Same technology as used in PMC speakers, but way better sounding IMO. Working perfectly.
Stereo Pair. Bespoke, made with recycled/reclaimed wood.
Transmission line means dynamic and truthful reproduction and super-live, extended bass response.
If you like your drums kicky and punchy and your mids clear and dynamic, look no further that transmission line speakers.
They suit all styles and types of music sounding good and even on all.
Powerful enough to shake a house in a big party and yet detailed enough to listen quietly in the evening.
Extremely easy driven and suit any type of amplifier.
Tech spec (some estimated)
Frequency range: 20Hz - 20kHz
Impedance: 4 Ohms
Sensitivity 100 dB @1m (at least)
Power rating: 60 W
Size(approx): 55x25x20cm
Weight: 10kg each
I built these a few years back as a DIY project and they have been my main speakers while I kept improving them.
They do look hand-made and a bit tatty and show the signs of usage, but they sound damn good, IMO on the par with PMC TB2 which I had had a chance to compare them to, and mine came on top.
Since some folks asked, some details of the components:
The drivers all Peerless, don't remember exact model now. I think the woofers are Peerless 5.25" SKO-130 or similar (Fs 42 Hz) and the tweeters are Peerless 1" silk dome.
The crossovers are carefully calculated and hand-made too, built on a PCB with Monacor components. Second order 2 way, crossover frequency 2000Hz to be technical. No picture, sorry, they are inside... Additional mids/high fine-tuning on the front panel to tune to your room
NB: the components alone cost around £120, so... £150 ONO.
Pick-up in person, money on pick-up. Full demo will be offered
