Description

Female Support Worker | Stevenage, SG12. A fantastic opportunity to support Claire, 60, a lovely lady living in her own home, with daily routines, personal care, mobility, appointments, and activities. £18.30 gross per hour.

Nearest Station: Stevenage

Salary/Wage: Weekdays | £18.30 gross per hour, Weekends | £18.80 gross per hour

Driving Requirements: Yes – full UK driving licence required and confidence driving to appointments.

Essential:

• Female* Support Worker.

• Manual handling experience.

• Willingness to assist with personal care and stoma care.

• Confident supporting mobility needs.

• Right to work in the UK.

Desirable:

• Experience supporting adults with mobility impairments.

• Stoma care experience.

• Interest in gardening, crafts, knitting, and community activities.

Start Date: ASAP

Days & Hours: Part-time, 2 days per week. Friday 9:30am–5:30pm and Sunday 1:00pm–5:00pm. Additional hours may be available to cover sickness and annual leave.

Claire, 60, is a warm, friendly lady who enjoys knitting, garden centres, bingo, and spending time with family. She is seeking a reliable Support Worker to help with daily routines while maintaining her independence and enjoying the activities she loves. Claire experiences mobility difficulties, fatigue, chronic pain, poor balance, continence needs via ileostomy, and uses a walking aid. She values her independence and appreciates positive, respectful, and approachable support.

overview of role

This rewarding role involves supporting Claire in her family home with personal care, including showering, dressing, and applying AFOs/boots. You will prepare meals, prompt medication, support physiotherapy exercises, accompany Claire to appointments, and assist with continence and stoma care when needed. You will work independently much of the time while fitting comfortably into a welcoming family home. Full training can be provided.
