Contract: Permanent, full-time – 40 hours per week

Inspire Care Residential Ltd is looking for caring, resilient and committed people to join us as Residential Care Workers and Supported Accommodation Workers based in Greater Manchester in the North West.
This varied role offers the opportunity to work across our children’s residential homes and supported accommodation services. You will provide nurturing, consistent care to children living in our residential homes while also helping young people in supported accommodation develop the skills, confidence and independence they need for adulthood.
You will be supported by highly experienced managers who understand the realities of the role and are committed to developing confident, reflective and capable staff and providing excellent outcomes for children and young people.
What we offer
A competitive annual salary of £30,500. A minimum of £2,200 additional earnings each year through sleep-in shifts. Sleep-in shifts paid at £50 each, on top of your annual salary. Expected minimum annual earnings of £32,700. A robust induction and comprehensive ongoing training programme. All required training fully funded and paid for by Inspire Care Residential Ltd. Support to complete the Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare, where required. Regular supervision, reflective practice, group learning and professional development. Coaching and mentoring from manager whilst doing the role. Support and guidance from highly experienced Registered Managers and senior leaders. Your responsibilities will include:
Building safe, positive and trusting relationships with children and young people. Providing consistent, trauma-informed and relationship-based care and support. Safeguarding children and young people and reporting concerns immediately. Supporting daily routines, emotional wellbeing, education, health and positive activities. Undertaking key-work and support sessions. Helping young people develop budgeting, cooking, cleaning, travel and other independent-living skills. Supporting children and young people to express their wishes, feelings and goals. Promoting resilience, confidence, positive relationships and community participation. Maintaining clear, accurate and professional records. Contributing to care plans, support plans and risk assessments. Working collaboratively with families, social workers and other professionals. Supporting the safe, welcoming and homely running of our services. Working flexibly across days, evenings, weekends, bank holidays and sleep-in shifts. About you
We are looking for someone who is:

Able to work effectively as part of a team and with other professionals. Flexible and willing to work across a 24-hour service. Able to undertake sleep-in duties. Experience of working with children, young people or vulnerable people is required. Previous experience in a children’s residential home or supported accommodation service is desirable but not essential where you can demonstrate relevant transferable experience, strong values and the ability to learn.
A relevant Level 3 qualification is desirable. Applicants who do not already hold the required residential childcare qualification must be willing to complete it within the required timescale, with support and funding provided by Inspire Care Residential Ltd.
A full UK driving licence is essential due to the needs of the services and the requirement to transport children and young people where authorised.
Applicants must have a good standard of spoken and written English and be able to communicate clearly and effectively with children and young people, colleagues, families and professionals. The role also requires the ability to complete accurate written records, reports and safeguarding documentation in English.
Applicants must have an existing legal right to work in the UK. Inspire Care Residential Ltd is not currently able to offer visa sponsorship for this role. Evidence of the right to work in the UK will be required as part of the recruitment and pre-employment checking process.
