Spectrum Continuing Care is looking for caring, reliable and enthusiastic Personal Assistants to join our team in Southampton.

As a Personal Assistant, you will support disabled people to live as independently as possible, providing personalised care and support with day-to-day life.

The role will include:

• Providing personal care and assistance with personal hygiene

• Supporting with daily living activities and household tasks

• Supporting with meal preparation and nutrition

• Assisting with medication in line with care plans and training

• Supporting with shopping, appointments and community activities

• Providing support with travel and attending appointments

• Providing social, emotional and companionship support

• Encouraging independence and participation in the community

• Following individual care plans and maintaining accurate records

• Promoting dignity, privacy, choice and safeguarding

• Working closely with individuals, families and other professionals

• Providing person-centred support tailored to each individual's needs

What we're looking for:

✓ Previous experience working in care

✓ A full driving licence

✓ A caring, compassionate and patient approach

✓ Reliable and flexible

✓ Good communication skills

✓ A commitment to promoting independence and dignity

✓ The ability to work as part of a team and independently
