Hours per week:

To be discussed. Currently we are looking for weekend day hours and after school weekday hours, plus support during the holidays.

Hourly pay rate:

To be discussed. Range £12.21 to £13.21 depending on weekend/ weekday and on experience

We are seeking enthusiastic and caring PAs for our gorgeous 9 year old son, who has cerebral palsy epilepsy and complex health needs. He is fully dependent; non mobile and non verbal but communicates his feelings in his own way. He loves being physical and active, loves music and being at home with his family.

Duties include:

- Medication prompting/administering

- Personal grooming

- Eating and drinking assistance

- Moving and handling

- Other relevant duties as required

- Dressing / undressing

- Bathroom assistance

- Our son is PEG fed blended diet so preparation of feeds may be needed (not cooking).

Candidate qualities:

- Respectful of the employer's privacy and confidentiality

- Reliable with good timekeeping

- Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative

- Hygienic, tidy and well organised

- Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties

- Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills

- Honest and cheerful

- Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard

- Must be comfortable with pets

- Able to always work to high standards of health & safety

- Caring, fun, enthusiastic and easy going, at ease joining in the busy family environment in our home.

- Physically strong as our son has high tone and severe dystonia.

Additional requirements

- Non-smoker preferred or someone willing to refrain from smoking during working hours

- Vulnerable to the risk of infection and disease transmission
