Experienced Care Assistant Required – Dementia Care (Private Role, Solihull)

We are looking for a reliable and experienced care assistant to support a lady in her own home.

This role involves caring for someone living with dementia, so experience in this area is essential.

Although she lives with dementia, she should be supported with kindness, respect, and treated as a friend as well as a person receiving care.”

Hours available:

Weekday role:

Monday to Friday: 9:00am – 5:00pm (40 hours)

Weekend / flexible support role:

Saturday: 10:00am – 4:00pm (6 hours)
Sunday: 9:30am – 11:30am (2 hours)

Pay: £14 per hour (self-employed). Overnight rate to be agreed.



Additional requirements (weekend role):

Must be flexible to cover weekdays (holiday/sickness cover)
Must be available for occasional overnight stays when required

Total: approx. 48 hours per week

40 Monday to Friday

(Hours can be split between 2 cares in week

8 hours Saturday Sunday

Role includes:

Personal care
Supporting daily routines
Meal preparation
Light household duties
Providing companionship and reassurance
Supporting someone living with dementia, including managing confusion, memory loss, and changes in behaviour

Essential requirements:

Minimum 1–2 years hands-on care experience
Experience supporting someone with dementia
Able to remain calm, patient, and confident in challenging situations
Confident with personal care
Reliable and able to work independently
References from previous care roles
