To be clear: this is for sale under ‘spares and repairs’. Should not be driven away, may fail at any time. Please do not waste time as the faults have been clearly stated. Sold as seen. No returns if planning to repair and that repair fails. Many thanks.

I am sad to be selling my car, lovingly called Stella.

There is a major coolant issue as well as some niggly issues which have led me to sell her. I will do my best to list ALL the faults as accurately as possible, with pictures:

History:
I purchased the car two years ago, previous owner was elderly and had not driven it for a year. They bought the car from an insurance company as it had been written off as a Cat N and repaired. I’ve run an AutoTrader check on this which confirms CAT N in November 2022. The owner informed me this was a repair to the bumper. I’ve attached images which show the small gap around the boot, above the lights due to this. The defect is both sides and does mean that water gets into the area where the spare tyre is kept. My mechanic has drilled holes into this to help drainage, but it still accumulates.

For this reason there is no service history beside the services I have undertaken since owning the car.

Timing belt and water pump replaced in January 2024, receipt attached.

Coolant:
Since purchasing the car there has been an on-going coolant leak. The heating worked intermitently when I first got it, but hasn’t worked at all for a year now. I have taken it to three mechanics who have been unable to find a fault despite pressure testing. The coolant now alarms it is empty after most journeys. The issue has gradually been getting worse, and the machanics I have spoken too all suspect it may be a crack in the EGR system. But, as none are sure, I do not want to go ahead and replace this in case it still doesn’t fix the issue!

Other issues:

Engine light for glow plugs I assume, as pictured. This came up about 2 weeks ago.

Other warnings:

The car claims there’s an issue with the start system which reads on the screen, however the stop start system seems to work fine for me.

Light assist for reads when activating the full beams though the full beams work just fine.

Electrical:

The passenger door electric window only works when using the button on the passenger side—you’re unable to control it from the driver side.

Rear wiper motor does not work.

I only received ONE key

Scratches and wear:

Usual wear and tear as expected.

One long scratch across the passenger front door-not too noticeable.

Scratches that appear like key scratches around the handle of the passenger and more markedly the driver handle.

Residue from something previously stuck to the dashboard.

The silver lining around the vents for the air con has broken and is sharp in places.

I’ve had a chip repair on the windscreen just below the middle mirror.

The drivers carpet is well worn as pictured.

My labrador has been transported around in this for two years. I’ve cleaned it and removed most of the hair but it certainly will not be hair free!
