Description
Tynee Mini 3 Pro Top Torque + Genuine Waterborne Surf Adapter Kit
£525 ONO
Reluctant sale. I'm looking to get an e-bike, so need the funds.
This is the Tynee Mini 3 Pro with Top Torque, upgraded with the complete genuine Waterborne E-Skate Surf Adapter kit.
I originally bought this board because I wanted something with plenty of torque, good range and a compact size for getting around the city. I didn't want a massive board, and the Mini ticked all those boxes.
The torque is AMAZING. For me, it's all about the torque rather than top speed. The board really packs a punch for its size, and it's a lot of fun to ride. Honestly, I think anyone who rides this board will instantly have a smile on their face. It's one of those things you just enjoy every time you get on it.
The range is also great. I like not having to think about charging it all the time, and the compact size makes it much more practical than carrying around a big longboard. The kicktail is particularly useful for city riding, and the Hydro Wheels have good grip and help get over obstacles more easily.
The battery is in 100% perfect working order with zero issues.
The Waterborne Surf Adapter:
This is what really makes the setup special.
I wasn't completely happy with the original turning, so after doing some research I came across the Waterborne Surf Adapter. It has transformed the board. The difference is night and day — I can now make VERY sharp turns and carve properly. The complete setup makes the board much more fun and manoeuvrable, with a much more surf-like feel.
This is the genuine Waterborne kit, not one of the cheap Chinese copies.
The complete kit includes:
Front surf adapter
Rear rail adapter
Carbon-fibre wheelbase extender
All three components are fitted. The board is ready to ride with the complete Waterborne setup installed.
Getting everything fitted was a bit of a pain! I had to go back and forth to my local skate shop to source the correct risers, screws and other bits of hardware needed to make it all work with the Tynee.
That's all sorted now, so you don't have to go through the hassle of figuring out compatibility, sourcing the extra components and doing the installation yourself.
A few other things I like:
Top Torque drivetrain with fantastic acceleration.
Hydro Wheels with rubber construction and tread.
Compact board with a practical kicktail.
LCD remote with fully customisable riding modes.
Integrated brake light.
A great balance of power, range and portability.
Carrying the board
I'll also include the rucksack I use for carrying the board, which I've found works really well. Most of the board fits inside, with the top secured using a few bungee straps to stop it moving around. I use this setup quite regularly, and it's a practical way to carry the board when you're not riding.
Things to be aware of:
Just to be completely upfront about the condition:
Tyre: One tyre has a tear. It hasn't affected how the board rides in my experience, but please see the photos and inspect it at collection.
Deck: There are a few scrapes from use, but these are cosmetic.
Price
The approximate cost of buying the setup new is:
Tynee Mini 3 Pro Top Torque: £585 delivered
Genuine Waterborne E-Skate Surf Adapter kit: £165
Additional fitting hardware: included.
That's around £750 in replacement cost, before any extra hardware costs.
I'm asking £525 ONO.
Overall, this is a ridiculously fun board. The combination of torque, compact size and the turning you get with the complete Waterborne setup makes it a great package, particularly for getting around a city.
It's a genuinely reluctant sale, but I want to move over to an e-bike and can't justify keeping both.
