Description
Don't just learn how to sing, learn how to really perform! Sharon is a former LIPA singing lecturer. She has Qualified teacher status and a wealth of experience as a professional singer and all these insights of the industry she passes on to her students. She gained her teaching qualifications 30 years ago through London College of Music; Guildhall School of Music and Drama and London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. She felt it was imperative that her teaching qualifications were equally as weighted with her industry credits. Being a teacher and professional singer means that Sharon has been able, and continues to offer industry relevant training that will bring the students not just performance skills but vocal healthcare, career advice, audition techniques and safe practice which will help them to have a longer career. She is is a master teacher with over 20,000 teaching hours. For those who have no interest in treading the boards or becoming the next pop sensation Sharon shows the same dedication and commitment to those who just sing for pleasure. Each lesson is tailored to individual needs of the student but still encompassing the fundamental basic structure of singing lessons. This includes: relaxation skills; postural rehabilitation; breath management; voice and vocal warm up and release; range increase and agility exercises. The lessons work on the individual chosen songs alongside songs that Sharon feels are technically correct for your vocal ability at each level. The most important thing that sets Sharon apart from other teachers is that she is approachable and makes everything easy to understand. She keeps it really fun and her enthusiasm and sense of humour is infectious.
