Description
A superb original 1950s Vanson sideboard, designed by Peter Hayward for Heal & Son.
Beautifully constructed with richly figured walnut veneer over a teak frame, complemented by the original brass trumpet-style handles and elegant tapered legs.
The sideboard offers excellent storage, with two large double-door cupboard sections and three spacious central drawers. The top drawer retains its original green baize lining and removable divided cutlery trays.
A particularly impressive example, with stunning grain and a warm golden finish throughout. It remains in excellent vintage condition overall, with only light marks and signs of use consistent with its age.
A timeless piece of British mid-century design that would work beautifully as a dining-room sideboard, drinks cabinet, media unit or statement storage piece.
