Description
Teak Bureau Sideboard Desk Drinks Cabinet Vintage Mid-Century Military Bookcase Storage
This lovely storage unit has a great mid-century look and has a host of potential used - it is ready for use. Made for the military, likely by Remploy but possibly another company, its original purpose looks to have been an all-in-one storage unit, with a large drop front used as a desk. Now, it could be used as a foldaway desk in an office, would make a great drinks cabinet, or would be equally perfect as a narrow/shallow storage unit, ideal where space is limited. Finished in teak throughout with a great colour and sitting on solid legs, it has four drawers on the right hand side, two above the desk section, all with attractive recessed handles. There are two open storage sections, the smaller one with an adjustable shelf. There are some signs of use in places, including some marks and light scratches throughout, some slight separation on the corners, and some minor chips/losses. Please refer to the photos for full details of condition, as they form part of the description. Keys are present for both the drop front and the top drawer, however this drawer lock is very stiff.
Approximate measurements are 48" (122cm) tall, 54 1/8" (137.5cm) wide and 14" (35.5cm) deep.
