Software Testing Engineer
12 month contract
Based in Stevenage
Offering up to 65ph Inside IR35
Do you have experience with CI/CD software pipelines?
Do you have an understanding of software logs/data analysis?

As the Software Testing Engineer, you will be working alongside a market-leading Defence and Aerospace company who are constantly growing and developing. They are always looking to bring on new talents such as yourself and further develop your skills to enable you to grow within the company and industry.
Due to the nature of the work you will be involved in, SC clearance is required.
You will be involved in:
Test/Proving Planning:Understanding Customer needs and requirements from a proving perspectiveUnderstanding design and architecture including defining software test bed requirementsDeveloping comprehensive software test plans, writing, and running test sets, designs, and specificationsTest/Proving Conduct:Regular progressive software testing assurance during software development cyclesLeading testing of software defectsLiaising with our Support team in order to provide logs/data analysis when issues are identifiedDemonstrate compliance to requirementsExecuting formal software qualification testingTest/Proving Reporting:Providing regular updates to project leads and stakeholders on software functionalityWriting detailed software test and analysis reports for certification purposesSupporting the software delivery and release process, including final certification activities
Your skillset and experience:
Software Test automationUnderstanding software Logs/Data analysisCI/CD software pipelinesGitLab, JIRA, scripting, IBM PLM/ ALM/ EWM /DoorsKnowledge of Agile ScrumAbility to understand compliance and regulatory requirementsAI test automation toolingSoftware Simulation/Emulator knowledgeLinux Network Configuration and analysis tools
