We're looking for a hands–on Software Team Lead to lead a high–performing engineering team in Bristol, combining strong people leadership with deep technical expertise.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a hybrid role–driving software delivery while contributing to system architecture, integration, and complex engineering challenges.

The Role

As a Software Team Lead, you will:

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 4–5 software engineers

Provide hands–on technical leadership across the full software lifecycle:

Requirements analysisDesign & architectureImplementationTesting & integrationDeliveryPlay a key role in system–level decision making, including software integration with hardware and networks

Manage project schedules, priorities, and team budget

Ensure delivery aligns with customer requirements and business objectives

Technical Environment

You'll work with modern tools and technologies including:

C++ (modern standards)Visual Studio, Git, JiraQt framework (desirable)Simulation–based and networked systems
