Senior Detail Designer

Description

Our client, a leading player in the Defence & Security sector, is seeking a Senior Detail Designer to join their team on a contract basis. This role focuses on outfit and structures within the maritime naval ships discipline.

Key Responsibilities:

Developing and detailing design solutions for outfit and structural components of naval shipsTranslating concept designs into detailed technical specificationsCollaborating with other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated design solutionsProducing detailed drawings and schematics in accordance with industry standards and project requirementsLiaising with manufacturing and production teams to ensure feasibility and compliance of designsProviding technical guidance and support to junior designers and engineersEnsuring all design work complies with safety and regulatory standardsReviewing and updating designs based on project feedback and requirements

Job Requirements:

Experience in electronics design engineering, specifically within the defence sectorProficiency in CAD software and design tools - you must have experience with Foran for this roleStrong understanding of outfit and structural design principles for naval shipsAbility to produce detailed technical drawings and specificationsExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong communication and teamwork abilitiesAttention to detail and commitment to qualityRelevant engineering qualifications or equivalent experience
