About the role:

S. Security provides phone privacy services for Muslim and cultural weddings. We ensure guests respect the privacy of the bride, family, and the event by safely collecting and returning mobile phones in secure pouches.

We are hiring 2–3 reliable and confident Phone Privacy & Event Security Assistants to work evening shifts at weddings and private events.

Due to cultural and religious sensitivities at women-only events, this role is open to female applicants only. This meets the Genuine Occupational Requirement under Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010.

Responsibilities:

Politely collect mobile phones from guests upon entry
Place phones into secure pouches and manage the collection table
Return phones to guests at the end of the event
Monitor the hall to ensure no one is recording
Deal confidently and respectfully with guests who may be resistant or argumentative
Maintain a calm, professional, friendly attitude
Report any issues to the Event Lead

What we’re looking for:

Female applicants only (GOR – cultural/religious sensitivities at women-only events)
Confident and able to stand your ground politely
Professional and respectful handling of guests’ belongings
Reliable and punctual — weddings have strict timings
Friendly and good communication skills
Somali-speaking is a bonus
Ideal for students or those in education seeking flexible evening work

Hours & Pay:

Evening & night shifts: typically 6pm – 12am
Zero-hours contract – work offered as events are booked
£15 -£18 per hour, depending on experience
London-based weddings (travel may be required)
Food and drinks provided free of charge for the whole evening
Once phones are collected, most of the shift is spent seated
Occasional roaming to ensure no recording
Return phones at the end and close the shift
