Mechanical Operator

Description

Our client, a prominent player in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a dedicated Mechanical Operator to join their team on a contract basis at RAF Coningsby.

Key Responsibilities:

Performing mechanical installation and fitting tasks in accordance with engineering instructions and standardsEnsuring all procedures comply with relevant safety and quality regulationsCompleting maintenance, repairs, and modifications on complex defence equipmentConducting regular inspections to ensure the operational readiness of equipmentRecording detailed maintenance data and ensuring proper documentationCollaborating with engineering teams and other professionals within the projectAdapting to shift patterns including days and nights as requiredMaintaining high standards of work in a fast-paced defence environment

Job Requirements:

Experience in mechanical installation and fitting within a defence or security contextProficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and specificationsStrong understanding of safety, security, and quality compliance in the defence sectorExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a collaborative teamFlexibility to work 37 hours per week, including night shiftsSecurity clearance and ITAR compliance are mandatoryRelevant mechanical engineering or technical qualification preferred

Location: RAF ConingsbyDuration: 6 months with potential for permanent placementWork Pattern: Monday to Thursday, days and nights
