About the Role:

As an Environmental Engineer, you will support the System Safety and Environmental Engineering Team in adhering to environmental policies and standards. Your responsibilities will include developing environmental management strategies, conducting assessments, and collaborating with stakeholders to mitigate environmental risks. Your attention to detail and ability to communicate effectively will be essential in ensuring compliance and driving sustainability initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Integrate environmental management into the design and development of products and systems.

Support technical leads in environmental management strategy development and implementation.

Create environmental deliverables, including management plans and case reports.

Monitor and refresh environmental objectives and targets.

Influence product lifecycle decisions regarding design, usage, and disposal.

Assist in promoting sustainability within UK programmes.

Collaborate with technical teams to provide evidence supporting environmental management strategies.

Manage environmental meetings and audit activities.

Basic Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related fields.

Membership or pursuit of membership with a recognised UK environmental professional body.

Experience in environmental management/engineering within regulated industries, preferably aviation.

Knowledge of environmental law and industry standards.

Excellent communication skills to convey technical information clearly.

Proficiency in MS Office Suite.

Collaborative mindset and team–oriented approach.

UK National status required, eligibility for SC clearance.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

Experience with environmental assessment techniques and risk analyses.

Strong organisational skills to manage multiple projects efficiently.

Environmental auditing experience.
