Our client, a prominent organisation in the Defence & Security sector, is seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant for a 12-month contract based in Glascoed. This is a unique opportunity to support financial operations within a highly specialised industry, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and reportsMaintaining and reconciling balance sheets and general ledger accountsProcessing invoices and handling accounts payable and receivableConducting monthly bank reconciliations and resolving discrepanciesCollaborating with various departments to ensure accurate financial reportingSupporting budget preparation and expense managementEnsuring compliance with financial regulations and internal policiesProviding administrative support to the accounting team as required

Job Requirements:

Experience in accounting or a related fieldStrong understanding of financial and accounting principlesProficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office applicationsExcellent organisational and time management skillsStrong attention to detail and accuracy in financial tasksEffective communication and teamwork abilitiesAbility to work independently and manage multiple tasksRelevant accounting qualification or equivalent experience
