Assembly Operative

Location: Bolton

Salary: 35,685.85

Hours: 4 days per week Mon - Thurs, 37 hours

Introduction

ES Recruit are currently recruiting for an Assembly Operative to join our client's Operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for a practical and motivated individual with assembly or manufacturing experience to join a well-established engineering environment offering long-term stability and development opportunities.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for re-assembling doors and associated products using supplied components and materials, ensuring all finished products meet required quality standards and are ready for customer delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Re-assemble doors and products to engineering drawings using stock parts and materialsFit custom components and insulation materials using hand tools and associated equipmentFinish products to the required quality standards for final deliveryComplete product documentation in line with project requirementsSupport manual handling activities where requiredMaintain a clean, safe, and organised working environmentReport any risks, hazards, or quality concerns to supervisors

Essential Skills & Experience

Experience using hand tools and measuring equipmentAbility to follow assembly drawings and fitting instructionsStrong organisational and time management skillsGood understanding of health & safety proceduresAbility to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable

Previous experience within steel door manufacturing or a similar environmentKnowledge of door hardware and locking systemsUnderstanding of continuous improvement principlesFLT licence advantageous
