Description

We are working with a school in Chelsea who are seeking a friendly, organised and professional Receptionist to support the front office function. This role is the first point of contact for visitors, parents, pupils and staff, and plays a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the school's administrative operations.

Key Responsibilities

Acting as the first point of contact at the school reception, welcoming visitors and managing sign-in proceduresAnswering and directing telephone calls in a professional and courteous mannerManaging general email inboxes and responding to routine enquiriesSupporting attendance administration, including recording late arrivals and absencesMaintaining accurate pupil, staff and visitor recordsLiaising with parents, staff and external stakeholders as requiredHandling incoming and outgoing post and deliveriesProviding general administrative support to the school office teamAssisting with diary management, room bookings and meeting arrangementsEnsuring safeguarding and health & safety procedures are followed at all timesPerson Specification

Previous experience in an administrative or receptionist roleExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong organisational skills and attention to detailConfident using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)Professional, calm and approachable mannerAbility to manage multiple tasks in a busy environmentPrevious experience working in a school or educational settingKnowledge of school management systems (e.g. SIMS, Arbor or similar)Understanding of safeguarding proceduresThis role is subject to safeguarding checks, including an enhanced DBS check, in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education guidelines.Location: Chelsea, London

Hours: Full time, on-site

Pay Rate: GBP17 per hour
