Safeguarding Admin Manager required for our public sector client

Full time role, working 09.00 - 17.00, Monday - Friday

Hybrid role

Job Purpose and Main Duties

The role involves providing clerical, typing, and database support to the department, acting as a key contact point for the public, staff, and partner agencies.

Responsibilities include:

Accurate data entry report and correspondence typing Managing diaries and appointments Liaising with external and internal teams Handling mail and communications Organising meetings Maintaining filing and inventory systems Processing referrals and orders. The role also involves supporting service and training events, taking minutes, producing newsletters, managing supplies, and maintaining records related to families, staff, and resources.

Additional duties include processing invoices, managing petty cash, collating statistical data, and providing cover for colleagues, all while respecting confidentiality and adhering to data protection laws.

Special Factors and Working Conditions

The role requires flexibility, including working outside normal hours, attending training and meetings, and ensuring health and safety compliance.

The post involves handling sensitive police database information, necessitating police checks, and complying with quality and records management policies.

Person Specification

Candidates should possess relevant qualifications such as:

NVQ 2 or equivalent, with experience in clerical work Database management Using software like Microsoft Office. Knowledge of Council, Children and Family Services, confidentiality, and Ofsted standards is essential. Previous management experience Skills include:

- Strong communication

- Organisational, and customer care abilities

- Capacity to handle sensitive matters and meet deadlines.
