Fulltime Permanent

Hours of work: Monday - Friday 09.00 - 17.00 (37.5 hours a week) Overtime Available

Job purpose: Office Administrator

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Office Administrator to support the day-to-day operations of a busy engineering environment. This role is central to ensuring the smooth coordination between customers, suppliers, and the workshop.

An engineering background would be advantageous. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong computer literacy, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.

The role requires someone who can work both independently and as part of a team, remains flexible in their approach, and is willing to assist with additional duties as required.

Responsibilities: Office Administrator

Managing the daily processing and administration of customer purchase ordersConducting contract reviews to ensure accuracy, feasibility, and complianceLiaising directly with customers and suppliers in a professional and efficient mannerResponsible for purchasing raw materials in line with production requirementsWorking closely with the Machine Shop Manager to support forward planning and workshop capacity managementAssisting daily with general enquiries from the workshop and wider businessMaintaining accurate records, documentation, and internal systemsSupporting scheduling, coordination, and operational planning activitiesProviding general administrative support to ensure smooth office operations Skills / Experience: Office Administrator

Previous administrative experience (engineering or manufacturing environment advantageous)Engineering knowledge or technical understanding desirableStrong computer literacy (Microsoft Office and internal systems)Excellent organisational and time management skillsStrong attention to detail, particularly when reviewing contracts and ordersAbility to prioritise workload and meet deadlinesConfident communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a teamFlexible and willing to assist with wider business needs Personal Attributes: Office Administrator
