Operational Support Officer - Leeds

12.86 per hour, rising to 13.25 after 12 weeks

Temporary, Full-Time (37 hours/week, Monday to Friday)

Our client, a respected public sector organisation supporting justice across England and Wales, is hiring for a dedicated Operational Support Officer in Leeds. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a vital service, ensuring court and tribunal proceedings run smoothly and efficiently.

What you'll be doing:

Supporting the preparation and smooth operation of court and tribunal hearings, including managing documentation and systems

Handling enquiries via face-to-face, telephone, email, and digital channels from court users, legal professionals, and partner agencies

Providing clear guidance and support to members of the public, including vulnerable individuals and those with additional needs

Processing casework, maintaining accurate records, and updating internal systems in line with procedures and data protection standards

Managing legal documents, correspondence, hearing notices, and administrative tasks to support case progression

Assisting with scheduling, listings, jury administration, and other operational activities to ensure services run efficiently

Collaborating with colleagues, judicial office holders, and external stakeholders to deliver a professional service

Responding professionally to sensitive situations and escalating issues when necessary

Supporting hearing room activities, including preparing case materials and assisting judicial officers on hearing days

What you'll bring:

Reliability and strong organisational skills to manage a busy workload

Confidence in communicating with diverse audiences

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital systems

Calmness and professionalism under pressure

A team-oriented approach with excellent attention to detail

Passion for delivering outstanding customer service

Previous experience in administration or the public sector is desirable but not essential.
