The Leon looks fantastic and has trusty VW mechanicals (underneath this is pretty much the same as a Golf and Audi A3). It is a very practical family hatchback with 5 doors, a decent sized boot and fuel economy approaching 60 mpg. This model is based on the same chassis and drivetrain as a VW Golf and Audi A3, but thanks to its distinctive looks and purposeful stance it manages to look more youthful than both. Neat design touches such as the hidden rear door handles and deep front bumper ensure these cars stand out from the crowd. Our car is finished in bright red which is my favorite colour for this model and comes on its original alloy wheels, which are in superb condition.

This particular car is in remarkable condition for its age with barely any signs of adverse wear. Because it is finished in white and is very well presented it has excellent visual appeal. FR spec means this car has all the luxuries you expect of a top-of-the-range model including climate controlled air-conditioning, satelite navigation and cruise control. There is a superb Touch-screen stereo system complete with an auxiliary and USB input and this is bluetooth compatible for both phonecalls and media. With ABS brakes and ESP stability control this FR model is one of the best handling family cars on the market. You have standard sports suspension, and with nearly 170bhp on tap, this model has masses of turbo-charged torque available from way down low in the rev range, giving it reassuring acceleration in every gear. The 6 speed manual gearbox combines well chosen ratios to maximise mid range grunt whilst also providing the Leon FR with an excellent ability to provide relaxed high speed cruising. In addition this model is fitted with cruise control which makes it an absolute joy on the motorway. As a high performance 5 door the Leon FR is a pretty convincing all-rounder combining hot hatch performance and styling with all the comfort and practicality of a family hatch.The condition and presentation of this car make it one of the nicest examples we have seen - Superb original paintwork and a clean, well presented interior. The gear change on the 6 speed gearbox is slick and very smooth, the steering well weighted and precise. The 170bhp Turbo-Diesel engine makes the Leon feel powerful and quick witted. As well as providing simply superb economy (55mpg is easily achieved on a longer run) the Leon is able to show a clean pair of heels to tailgaters and offers up epic amounts of torque for fast and safe overtaking.
