Position: Technical Sales Engineer

Location: Stanmore, Middlesex

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 + bonus DOE

Working Hours: Monday - Friday

Our client our a specialist supplier of bespoke Manufacturing machinery into production and FMCG environments. As a small, growing business, they are looking to expand their sales team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a Manufacturing or Engineering background to develop their technical knowledge, build customer relationships and grow within a developing business.

The role would suit an engineer looking to move into technical sales, or someone with existing technical sales experience.

Technical Sales Engineer Position Overview

Develop a strong understanding of the company's machinery and technical product range.

Provide technical advice and support to customers and suppliers by telephone and email.

Diagnose technical problems and recommend suitable solutions.

Demonstrate and commission machinery for existing and prospective customers.

Present equipment to clients in the company showroom.

Diagnose and resolve machinery faults where required.

Explain technical specifications and product benefits to customers.

Generate leads and identify new business opportunities.

Negotiate pricing and develop long-term customer relationships.

Travel occasionally to customer sites across the UK, with travel expenses covered.

Technical Sales Engineer Position Requirements

A background in Manufacturing or Engineering, gained through professional experience or education.

Ideally, a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.

Able to read and understand electrical wiring diagrams.

Good understanding of mechanical and electrical principles and machinery with moving parts.

Able to learn technical products and communicate complex information clearly.

Experience with industrial machinery or manufacturing equipment would be advantageous.

Previous sales or business development experience is beneficial but not essential.

A proactive attitude, with an interest in developing commercial and relationship-building skills.

Full UK driving licence.

Must live within a reasonable commuting distance of Stanmore, Middlesex, and be happy to travel occasionally to customer sites.

Technical Sales Engineer Position Package

Salary of £30,000 - £40,000, depending on experience.

Company bonus on top of salary.

28 days' holiday, including bank holidays.

Monday to Friday working hours.

Fully expensed business travel.
