Sales Development Representative - Smart Energy & Traffic Solutions

Location: Cheetham Hill, Manchester

Salary: £27k-£30k + Commission + Bonuses

My client, a global leader in energy management and traffic control systems, is looking for a Sales Development Representative to join their team and drive growth in their cutting-edge energy solutions.

You’ll be the first point of contact for potential customers, researching and reaching out to businesses that could benefit from their proven energy-saving technology. Whether it’s through LinkedIn, calls, or email, you’ll be the voice that introduces them to smarter, greener ways of managing energy—helping companies reduce their carbon footprint and save money.

What You’ll Be Doing:

* Hunting for new business - Researching and identifying companies that fit their ideal customer profile.

* Making warm and cold calls - Speaking to decision-makers, booking appointments, and handing qualified leads to the sales team.

* Staying ahead of trends - Monitoring market opportunities and tailoring your approach to different industries.

* Working with HubSpot - Keeping track of leads, interactions, and progress in a structured way.

* Collaborating with the team - Brainstorming new strategies and refining your pitch with support from experienced mentors.

What You Bring:

* 1-2 years in sales, account management, or recruitment (or a similar role where you’ve built rapport and closed deals).

* Strong communication skills – You’re confident on the phone, great at building relationships, and can handle objections like a pro.

* A resilient, self-motivated attitude – You don’t give up easily and love the thrill of landing a new client.

* A fast learner – You’ll pick up their bespoke systems quickly and adapt to new challenges.

* A team player mindset – You’re happy working independently but also thrive in a supportive, collaborative environment.

(Cold calling experience is a plus, but not essential—full training is provided!)
