Hours: Full–time, 37.5 hours per week
Location: Hybrid with travel to other offices in Farnham and Reading
must have experience of working in the legal sector We are working with a well–established and growing law firm that is seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to lead and deliver its firm–wide marketing and business development strategy. This is a senior, hands–on role offering real influence across the firm. You will work closely with Partners, Department Heads and senior leadership to raise the firm's profile, strengthen client relationships and support sustainable growth across all practice areas. The Marketing Manager will have full responsibility for the firm's marketing and business development activity, both strategic and operational, managing campaigns, budgets, agencies and stakeholders while ensuring consistent brand delivery.
Your role:
Strategy & Planning
Develop and deliver the firm's overall marketing and business development strategy alongside the Marketing Partner and CFOWork with Department Heads to create and implement annual marketing and BD plansManage the firm's marketing budget and ensure effective allocation of resourcesAnalyse market data and research to identify growth opportunitiesTrack, analyse and report on firm–wide and departmental marketing activity and ROIFirm–Wide Marketing & Business Development
Act as a key liaison with Partners and stakeholders across the firmCreate and deliver targeted marketing campaigns, events and engagementsUse client data to drive segmented and highly targeted marketing activityManage and develop the firm's client database as a marketing intelligence toolSupport fee earners with client follow–up, cross–selling opportunities and relationship developmentLead directory submissions and ensure deadlines are metAdvise on pitch strategy, prepare pitch materials, manage rehearsals and conduct debriefsEnsure brand consistency and house style across all marketing materialsAdvertising, Direct Marketing & Sponsorship
Manage all advertising activity for the firmOversee the end–to–end delivery of marketing events and seminarsCoordinate newsletters, mailshots and campaign communicationsDevelop brochures and promotional materials (digital and print)Website, Digital & Social Media
Manage and develop the firm's website, ensuring content remains current and effectiveOversee SEO and PPC activity through external digital agenciesWork with departments to create engaging content for the website and social mediaManage social media channels including LinkedIn, Twitter/X, Facebook and InstagramTrain and encourage fee earners on social media best practicePR, Reputation & CSR
Act as first point of contact for all media enquiriesBuild and maintain relationships with local and national mediaIdentify and coordinate PR opportunities and legal commentarySupport the firm's CSR programme and community engagementEvents
Organise and attend client, referrer and hospitality eventsCoordinate networking opportunities for fee earnersAttend events as a brand ambassador for the firmAbout You
5+ years' experience in a marketing role, ideally within legal/professional servicesStrong understanding of marketing and business development in a partner–led environmentConfident stakeholder manager, comfortable working with senior partnersExcellent written and verbal communication skillsHighly organised with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesCreative thinker with a strong eye for content and audience engagementExperience managing agencies, budgets and events (in–person and virtual)Proficient in MS Office with strong digital marketing experience
