About the Role

As a Housing Officer, you'll be responsible for managing a defined patch of council properties, ensuring tenants and leaseholders receive excellent, customer–focused housing management services. You'll work closely with residents, internal teams, and external partners to improve satisfaction, tackle anti–social behaviour, and support sustainable tenancies.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver visible, responsive estate and tenancy management servicesInvestigate and resolve anti–social behaviour casesConduct tenancy, property, and estate inspectionsEnforce tenancy and lease agreements, including legal proceedingsCollaborate with internal teams and external agencies to support vulnerable residentsRespond to enquiries from councillors, MPs, and resident groupsPromote community engagement and environmental improvements

What We're Looking For

Strong knowledge of housing and ASB legislationProven experience in social housing or a similar environmentExcellent communication, problem–solving, and organisational skillsAbility to work independently and collaborativelyIT proficiency, including Microsoft Office and housing databasesCommitment to equality, diversity, and resident empowermentFlexibility to attend meetings and make home visits outside normal hours
