Location: Elstree Aerodrome, Hertfordshire (office-based)

Salary: £28,000–£30,000 gross per annum (DOE)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm

A long-established and highly respected business based at Elstree Aerodrome is seeking a proactive and customer-focused Trade Sales Manager to join its busy commercial team.

Working closely with the Business Development Director and wider sales team, you'll play a key role in delivering exceptional service to the company's B2B customers. This is a varied, fast-paced position combining account management, customer service and sales administration, making it ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, solving problems and keeping operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

Act as the primary point of contact for trade customers via telephone and email.
Process customer orders, returns, invoices and credit notes across GBP, EUR and USD.
Provide first-class customer service, responding promptly to enquiries and resolving queries efficiently.
Support the Business Development Director by coordinating customer visits, account activity and follow-up from on-site sales.
Liaise closely with the Retail Sales Manager, Finance Manager, factory and dispatch teams to ensure orders are processed accurately and delivered on time.
Keep customers informed of order progress and delivery schedules.
Assist with the day-to-day running of the Elstree retail shop when required.
Maintain accurate sales records and contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes and customer experience.

Requirements

Previous experience in trade sales, sales administration, account management or a customer service role.
Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience using Access Dimensions would be advantageous.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional telephone manner.
A proactive, positive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Full UK driving licence and own transport, with the ability to commute reliably to Elstree Aerodrome.
Legal right to work in the UK with excellent contactable references.
