Description
I've used the machine for a maximum of 10 hours, and i've always kept the dust shoe on so no dust gets in the linear rails.I have a bigger cnc and a laser cnc I will be using in the future and there is no point having so many machines that sit unused.I purchased this cnc because of the good reviews for it's rigidity and value for money , it doesn't run on belts but screws making it have very little flex during cutting but now I wanted a bigger one.You can upgrade it to 400x600 or 600 x 600 with an extension kit.I've kept the original box but I would prefer a local buyer so i can deliver the machine myself without taking it apart. For software you can use easel which is free but doesn't allow vcarving or purchase vcarve desktop for around 320 gbp.The price is low enough and won't lower it anymore , if i don't find a seller i will just keep it as it's ideal for carving occasional aluminium 3d molds or other jobs, at it's smaller size compared to very big cncs it's very rigid.I've built an mdf wooden box with rockwool inside to put the hoover in so it has less noise as far as extraction of chips and dust goes, you can do the same and also build and enclosure with sound insulation like rockwool for the noise that comes from the spindle. The spindle it comes with is the original 710w which is powerful enough but since it's not a vfd spindle it still makes noise and that is why i would suggest building an enclosure or purchasing a vfd 1.5 kw spindle air or water cooled, sainsmart sell vfd spindle on their website. The only reason I got another cnc is because i wanted bigger size to be able to engrave a full table top but for many jobs this would have sufficed.
