This company came to my house then priced me for the job. They asked for a £2700 deposit for materials then disappeared. Avoid them because they a thieves. I wouldn’t have put 1 star if I could have posted without.

Came out and gave me a quote. There was a slight delay on my side of accepting quote. I accepted on the 8th Aug. Paid for materials on the 9th aug. Work was to start on the 17th at 8am. I had taken this day off to be there to discuss with them the fine details. At 830 no one had arrived. Contacted them, I was informed a job that was meant to finish friday had run over and they were still finishing that and would be woth me for lunch. (Why not inform me of that in the morning or sunday). Lunch came and went, messaged again at 230 no reply, messaged again at 430 no reply. Called them, I was forwarded to voicemail, asked for them to contact me back. Still no contact. Phoned them again while I was at work 2 again forwarded to voicemail. Very poor communication. Very bad customer service.

I was drawn in by this companies 5-star reviews and prompt response times. I hired them to complete works on my garden in April 2026. Initially, I was really pleased with what appeared to be genuine care in their work and providing me with a positive experience. Through a consultation, we agreed that works on my garden would include: repair of retaining wall, treatment of wood of the retaining wall, removal of clay layer of soil, top soil and turf laid, completion of patio, attempts to find two hidden drainage points, removal of soil at front of property with a weed membrane, border and stones added, and finally removal of any left over materials and clean up of my property. It was agreed that the work would take place whilst I was at work, and I naively thought that I could trust these workmen with my home. In short, despite full payment, the work was not completed and my property was left a mess. I have made various attempts to contact the company by text, phone and email - I have had no reply. My Dad made attempts to contact also, and though initially they replied to him, this ceased to continue when they discovered that he was enquiring about outstanding works at my property. Unfortunately, I cannot attach photos to show the poor standard of work at my property. They can be seen on a Google review however. They don’t reflect in any way why I was promised and paid for. To list the issues: the retaining wall is not straight, nor is is treated; though the turf has taken now, I battled several weeds coming through highlighting that the layer of soil to be removed wasn’t; the patio is not complete; materials were not removed; the weed membrane at the front of the property is insufficient, no border has been placed there; and the property was left a mess. I sincerely regret hiring Oaklands Treecare and Landscapes; and I would strongly advise that you steer clear of this company.

Came the day after quote, did some extra work for an agreed price. Team of 4 came to cut tree down, tidied up other trees, gave advise and took waste away all in 1 day. Can't complain. Would use them again.
