The company

T3AM Global is recruiting on behalf of one of the UK's established ethnic supermarket chains, with a significant presence across the North West.

The business operates multiple supermarket locations, offering customers a wide range of international groceries, fresh produce, halal meat and everyday essentials.

As part of its continued investment in operational excellence and business modernisation, we are looking to recruit an experienced Retail Operations Manager to oversee and improve performance across multiple supermarket locations.

This is an opportunity to join an established retail group and play an important role in developing its store operations, management teams and operational standards.

The role

As the Retail Operations Manager, you will take responsibility for supporting and improving day–to–day operations across multiple supermarket locations.

Working closely with the Head of Retail Operations & Transformation, you will ensure that stores operate efficiently, consistently and profitably, with clear standards and accountability across management teams.

You will work directly with Store Managers to improve commercial performance, customer service, stock management, staffing and operational processes.

A key focus will be implementing new group–wide procedures, systems and performance measures, ensuring that operational improvements are successfully introduced and maintained across every location.

This is a hands–on multi–site management role requiring someone who enjoys working closely with store teams, solving operational challenges and delivering measurable improvements.

You will take responsibility for:

Overseeing day–to–day operational performance across multiple supermarket locationsSupporting, coaching and developing Store Managers to improve performance and accountabilityMonitoring sales, profitability, staffing, stock control, wastage and operational KPIsIntroducing consistent store standards, operating procedures and performance reportingIdentifying operational inefficiencies and implementing practical improvements across storesSupporting the rollout of new EPOS, inventory management and centralised operational systemsWorking closely with senior management to deliver group–wide improvement initiatives and business objectives What you need

It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:

Previous experience in retail operations, area management, multi–site management or senior supermarket managementStrong experience within supermarkets, grocery retail, food retail or a closely related environmentProven ability to manage operational performance and lead retail management teamsStrong commercial awareness and understanding of store profitability, stock management and operational costsExcellent leadership, communication and problem–solving skillsConfidence working with sales reports, operational KPIs and management informationAbility to travel regularly between supermarket locations across the North West Other DESIRABLE skills include:

Previous experience as an Area Manager, Regional Operations Manager or Multi–Site Retail ManagerExperience managing large–format supermarkets or high–volume grocery storesKnowledge of ethnic supermarkets, international groceries or fresh food retailExperience implementing new operating procedures, systems or change management initiativesFamiliarity with EPOS, inventory management and retail reporting systemsExperience improving underperforming stores or developing retail management teamsCandidates from established supermarket chains and successful independent grocery retailers are particularly encouraged to apply.
