Superb Salon is a fast-growing new hair and beauty business based in Chiswick, West London. We specialise in professional Afro-Caribbean hairdressing services while also offering a growing range of hair extensions, haircare and beauty products.

As a growing business, we are looking for a friendly, organised, reliable and customer-focused Retail Assistant to join our team and play an important role in the day-to-day running of the salon and retail area.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, has previous retail experience and would like to be part of an ambitious business where there is potential to grow and develop as the company expands.

The Role

The successful candidate will help ensure that our customers receive a warm, professional and welcoming experience from the moment they contact or visit the salon. Your responsibilities will include:

Customer Service & Reception

Welcoming customers into the salon in a friendly and professional manner
Providing excellent customer service and assisting customers with general enquiries
Answering telephone calls, WhatsApp messages and other customer enquiries
Confirming customer appointments and following up with clients where necessary
Helping customers with appointment bookings, cancellations and rescheduling
Providing customers with information about our salon services and retail products
Ensuring customers feel welcomed, valued and well looked after throughout their visit

Retail & Stock Management

Assisting customers with the purchase of haircare, beauty and other retail products
Carrying out regular stock checks and stock taking
Monitoring stock levels and identifying products that need to be reordered
Replenishing shelves and ensuring products are attractively displayed
Receiving and checking stock deliveries
Organising products in the retail and storage areas
Ensuring products are correctly priced and labelled
Helping to maintain accurate stock records
Reporting low-stock or fast-selling items to management

General Salon Support

Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the salon
Keeping the reception and retail areas clean, tidy and presentable
Working closely with hairstylists and management to provide a positive customer experience
Assisting with general administrative duties when required
Supporting promotional activities and helping customers learn about new products, services and special offers
Carrying out other reasonable duties required to support the growth and smooth operation of the business
Who We Are Looking For

The successful candidate will ideally have previous retail experience, particularly in a customer-facing environment.

Experience within a hair salon, beauty business, cosmetics store, fashion retailer or similar environment would be an advantage, but it is not essential. We are looking for someone who is:

Friendly, approachable and confident when dealing with customers
Experienced in retail and customer service
Organised and able to manage different tasks effectively
Reliable, punctual and responsible
Comfortable using a computer, smartphone and appointment booking systems
Able to communicate clearly and professionally in person, over the telephone and through messages
Proactive and willing to take initiative
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Honest and trustworthy
Interested in hair, beauty, retail or customer service
Willing to learn and grow with the business

Candidates with previous retail experience will be strongly preferred.
