Our beef and butchery are what Denstone Hall is known for. As finalists for Farm Shop Butchery of the Year 2026, quality, craftsmanship and great service are at the heart of what we do.

As a family of beef farmers, our rare–breed cattle are reared right here on the farm, giving us a genuine connection from farm to fork and a story our customers really value.

We're looking for a skilled, hands–on Head Butcher to work alongside the team while leading the department. You'll bring strong traditional butchery skills, pride in your craft and the drive to maintain great standards while continuing to move the butchery forward.

What You'll Be Doing

Carry out full carcass butchery, including breaking down, boning, trimming, cutting and portioningPrepare meat and cuts to a consistently high standard for our counter and customersProduce sausages, burgers and other value–added products as well as product development for seasonal cuts.Lead, support and develop the butchery team, sharing your skills and knowledgeManage stock, ordering, rotation, yields and wasteMaintain high standards of food safety, HACCP, hygiene and traceabilityUnderstand sales and margins and ensure the department operates efficientlyWhat We're Looking For

An experienced, skilled butcher with strong traditional butchery knowledgeConfident in full carcass butchery and producing a wide range of retail cutsExperience leading, supervising or developing othersExcellent knowledge of meat, cuts, preparation and product qualityA strong understanding of stock, yield, waste and marginGreat customer service and communication skillsSomeone who's hands–on, positive and takes real pride in their craftWhy Join Us?
