We're looking for passionate ECoWs / EnvCoWs to join our growing team, supporting a wide range of projects across Scotland–from renewable energy and infrastructure to peatland restoration.

The role

This is a predominantly site–based position, with time allocated for reporting and project coordination. You'll play a key role in ensuring environmental compliance during construction phases across a range of projects.

Key responsibilities include:

Acting as the on–site environmental/ecological advisorEnsuring compliance with environmental commitments, planning conditions, and legislationSupporting pollution prevention and environmental best practiceDelivering toolbox talks and engaging site teamsCollecting water quality samples and monitoring site performanceAttending and contributing to site meetingsProducing clear and accurate ECoW logs and reportsLiaising with clients, contractors, and project managersSupporting surveys, documentation, and environmental planningContributing to Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs)Working closely with senior ecologists and project teamsPlaying an active role in our ECoW community of practice

Qualifications

Essential:

Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or related disciplineExperience in an ECoW, EnvCoW or Environmental Advisor roleStrong report writing skills and attention to detailExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement skillsFull UK driving licence

Desirable:

Membership of CIEEM (or working towards)Valid CSCS cardKnowledge of UK environmental legislation and guidance
