Contract Manager - Estates & Capital

Day Rate: up to £400 per day

Interim Full-Time

Hybrid Working

About the Role:

We are seeking a commercially focused and detail-oriented Contract Manager - Estates & Capital to join a forward-thinking organisation delivering high-performing services across the public sector. This newly created role offers the opportunity to manage a portfolio of high-value contracts, with a particular focus on capital and estates procurement, supporting strategic procurement and commercial development in a fast-paced, values-driven environment.

Reporting to the Head of Contract Management, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring contractual compliance, supplier performance, and value for money across a range of operational and corporate service contracts. This is a hands-on role requiring strong analytical skills, excellent stakeholder engagement, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage service and supply contracts, ensuring performance against KPIs and contractual obligations

* Support the development and implementation of procurement and contract management policies

* Provide commercial advice on contract variations, supplier negotiations, and service development

* Monitor spend levels and support financial reporting, accruals, and budget planning

* Maintain contract documentation and systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance

* Collaborate with internal teams and external providers to ensure seamless service delivery

Ideal Candidate:

* Professionally qualified (CIPS or equivalent experience) with a strong background in contract management and procurement

* Excellent xjnqpsq communication, negotiation, and analytical skills

* Proven ability to manage priorities in a changing environment

* Strong understanding of statutory compliance, health & safety, and commercial governance

* Comfortable working independently while contributing to broader strategic goals
