Category Controller – Own Brand North London

Up to 90,000 + generous benefits package

A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Category, Buying or Trading professional to take ownership of a major Own Brand proposition within a large and growing FMCG business.

As Category Controller, you'll lead the category strategy, drive trading and profitability, and manage a team of category professionals. You'll have real influence over P&L, margin, supplier negotiations, product development and commercial performance.

What you'll be doing

Set and deliver the Own Brand category strategyLead trading plans and drive profitable sales growthOwn P&L, margin and commercial budgetsManage, coach and develop a high–performing teamBuild strong supplier partnerships and lead key negotiationsUse customer, market and performance data to identify growth opportunitiesWork cross–functionally to improve availability, margin, quality and supplyLead initiatives that deliver genuine commercial change

What we're looking for

You'll be a proven senior commercial leader with experience across FMCG, Food Retail, Wholesale, Buying, Trading or Category Management.

You should bring strong P&L and negotiation experience, excellent commercial judgement, analytical capability and a track record of leading teams and delivering profitable growth or transformation.
