Description
As a Buyer with Associated Security Solutions, you will shape a brand-new role within a growing purchasing function. You will make a visible impact by influencing the buying strategy across this multi-site security manufacturing and services group. What’s more, you will earn a good basic salary, work a 37.5 hour week, and enjoy competitive benefits including bonus scheme, death in service and access to the Wider Wallet Employee Benefits Hub. You can be based from either Manchester (M4) or Huddersfield (HD9), but you will be required to travel between both sites.
Your role as Buyer will involve:
Leading sourcing activities across categories including Energy, Technology, Consumables, Materials, Marketing, Professional Services, Property, Logistics and Supply Chain.
Driving cost-saving initiatives and identifying opportunities for supplier consolidation.
Managing supplier relationships and supporting contract negotiation and contract database updates.
Extracting and analysing purchasing data to identify value-driven improvements.
Overseeing GNFR purchasing activity, raising POs and ensuring timely delivery of goods.
To be successful, you will need:
Proven indirect procurement experience, ideally within IT, Technology or Professional Services categories.
A strong background in tendering, supplier selection and negotiation.
Knowledge of contract law and commercial agreements. xjnqpsq
Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders across multiple business areas.
Willingness to travel to group sites and supplier premises as required
