Man and Van / 7.5 Tonne Truck Hire / Removals - Man With Van, House Moves, Professional + Reliable

I booked G-7 Removals for a two-man house move based on their advertising, which stated room-to-room placement and a fully equipped service. Unfortunately, the service I received fell well short of this. The team arrived later than the agreed start time. They did not have protective covers for mattresses or TVs, despite this not being stated anywhere in the booking confirmation or advertising as an additional paid extra. As a result, one mattress was left heavily soiled and will require professional cleaning or replacement. Due to the pace of the move, both my husband and I had to assist extensively with loading and unloading, including carrying items upstairs and downstairs, which contradicted the “room-to-room” service described when booking. There were also unexplained delays during the move, and the job exceeded the originally booked duration. Concerns were not raised at the point of payment due to the circumstances on the day, but were raised promptly afterwards. I raised these issues directly with the company, but they declined to meaningfully address them, offering only a minimal goodwill gesture that did not cover the costs incurred. While the majority of items were eventually moved, the overall experience was disappointing and not reflective of the service described at the point of booking. EDITED TO RESPOND: Thank you for your response. I stand by my review and its accuracy. Several points raised here were not communicated to me on the day and were only introduced after I raised my concerns. For clarity: the move ran significantly beyond the four hours booked and paid for; protective coverings were not used on the mattress; and the circumstances surrounding timing and payment caused discomfort on the day. I have retained contemporaneous evidence should it ever be required. My review reflects my genuine experience as a customer, and I will not be engaging further.

Extremely straight forward booking. Amazing from start to finish. Zain & Usman were incredible hard workers and done everything done as we wanted. All our belongings moved & packed with care and placed into our new home where needed. Turned a stressful experience into a breeze with smiles on their faces. They handled our long-distance move from London to Edinburgh flawlessly. The team arrived on time, used a large clean van, and took great care of all our furniture and belongings. When it came to moving day, my family and I had relied on a company who massively let us down. I searched Google for local companies who could help us, and G7 were phenomenal, plain and simple. They were very easy to communicate with, and even though I went back and forth like a yoyo on the day (my own anxieties and uncertainties, nothing at all to do with G7!), they were quick to spring into action and arrived promptly and with a nice big Luton van to get the job done. I didn't catch the names of the guys who came to help, but they were incredible. They were rearing to go and very careful with all of our belongings, as well as being understanding with regards to the situation we'd found ourselves in. They moved everything we'd been left to deal with and got it to our storage unit so rapidly and tidily, and honestly, without them, we never would have managed. And their prices? Beyond reasonable. I genuinely wish I'd chosen these guys to do my whole move from start to finish. Thank you, thank you, thank you to these amazing guys! I would recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat; you won't be disappointed!
