Safeguarding Officer

Our client, a charity organisation is recruiting for a Safeguarding Officer, Start ASAP, pay 136- 142 per day, this position is an on-going temporary role, the client is recruiting for the role permanently and the candidate has the opportunity to apply for this, Hybrid role- every Wednesday and additional days as and when required in the office. Location of the office is just a 10-minute walk from London Bridge train station.

The successful candidate will be required to go through an Enhanced DBS clearance.

Role Overview:

As a Safeguarding Officer, you will play a critical role in safeguarding the well-being of our clients service users, employees, and volunteers. You will provide expert guidance and support to ensure our organisation operates in line with best practises in safeguarding. Your commitment to fostering a safe environment will be pivotal in our clients mission to ensure no one faces cancer alone.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide safeguarding support during operational hours (8am to 8pm) and an out-of-hours service (8pm to 9pm) on weekdays, weekends, and bank holidays, out of hours requirements to be discussed.Be the go-to expert on mental health issues, developing and delivering training in Mental Health and Suicide Awareness.Support the organisation on complex safeguarding and welfare cases to ensure fair and ethical outcomes.Collaborate with teams to develop, implement, and monitor safeguarding policies and processes.Build and maintain effective external relationships with key safeguarding partners.Lead the delivery of high-quality training across a range of safeguarding topics. What We're Looking For:

A recognised qualification in Safeguarding Adults or Child Protection, or significant experience working with vulnerable groups.Proven experience in an advisory role with excellent knowledge of safeguarding legislation and best practises.Exceptional communication skills and the ability to connect with diverse audiences.Strong project management skills with a knack for meeting deadlines and prioritising tasks.Why Join Us?
