Fostering Recruitment Supervisor

Location: Hybrid/ Home based with some travel for meetingsContract: PermanentHours: Full-time (flexibility required)Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience)

About the Role

We are looking for a Fostering Recruitment Supervisor to lead and support our Recruitment Assistants and play a pivotal role in guiding prospective foster carers through the early stages of their journey.

This is a hands-on supervisory role where you will oversee enquiry management, ensure high standards of customer experience, and maximise the conversion of enquiries into initial visits. Working closely with the Head of Recruitment, Assessment Managers, and Marketing colleagues, you will help ensure our fostering recruitment process is effective, responsive, and values-led.

Key Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day supervision, guidance, and support to Recruitment AssistantsMonitor workloads, performance, and service standards, offering feedback and coaching where neededEnsure fostering enquiries are managed promptly and within agreed timescalesOversee enquiry progression from first contact through to screening and initial visitsMonitor booking systems, callbacks, and outstanding actionsMaintain accurate recruitment records and ensure consistent use of systemsWork closely with Marketing to track and respond to lead enquiriesContribute to recruitment KPI monitoring and reporting on a weekly and monthly basisSupport continuous improvement of recruitment processes and candidate experienceCarry a small recruitment administration caseload, including checks and referencesUndertake initial visits with prospective foster carers when requiredProvide cover for staff absence and annual leave as needed

Essential skills and experience:

Experience supervising or supporting staff, providing clear direction and feedbackStrong organisational and time management skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage competing priorities and meet deadlinesHigh standard of customer service and professionalismConfident IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and databases/CRM systemsAbility to handle confidential information sensitivelyFull UK driving licence and access to a vehicleFlexible approach to working hours to meet service needs

Desirable:

Experience in fostering, adoption, or children's social careKnowledge of fostering legislation or National Minimum StandardsExperience of undertaking or supporting initial visits or screeningExperience monitoring enquiry conversion rates or service performanceKnowledge of CHARMS or similar case management systems
