Recruitment Assistant

Salary: GBP27,500 - GBP30,000Location: Ipswich (travel to multiple sites will be required)Contract: Full-time, permanent

Overview

This key operational role is responsible for delivering safe, compliant recruitment and maintaining regulatory standards. You will manage the full recruitment lifecycle, ensure Schedule 2 compliance, and support safeguarding, quality assurance, and inspection readiness.

Working closely with Registered and Deputy Managers, you will operate with a high level of autonomy, escalating risks or concerns to the Operations Manager as required. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential due to regular site visits.

Key Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end safer recruitment, from advertising to onboardingComplete and verify all pre-employment checks (DBS, references, right to work, employment history, qualifications)Maintain accurate, audit-ready recruitment and personnel filesMonitor recruitment pipelines and provide progress updatesSupport regulatory inspections and ongoing complianceCoordinate inductions and mandatory trainingProvide administrative and operational support to management teamsChampion safeguarding, confidentiality, and data protection standards Essential Requirements

Experience in recruitment or HR within a regulated environmentIdeally strong knowledge of safer recruitmentExperience supporting inspectionsExcellent attention to detail, organisation, and communication skillsConfident working independently across multiple prioritiesFull UK driving licence and access to own vehicleWillingness to undertake an enhanced DBS check What's in It for You
