Are you an experienced HR professional looking for a varied generalist role where no two days are the same?

We are recruiting an experienced HR Officer to join a well-established and growing business on a 6-month fixed-term contract, covering maternity leave. This HR Officer role offers a fantastic opportunity to work across a broad range of HR activities, supporting employees and managers while working closely with an experienced HR Manager.

What will you be doing as an HR Officer?

Supporting recruitment from vacancy stage through to offers and onboardingPreparing contracts, offer letters and other HR documentationActing as a first point of contact for day-to-day HR and employee queriesSupporting the HR Manager with employee relations activity, including meeting preparation and note takingSupporting absence, probation and other general HR processesMaintaining accurate and confidential employee recordsProducing weekly and monthly HR reports and management informationCoordinating training and other HR activitiesWorking closely with the HR & Office Administrator and wider businessTaking ownership of your workload and responding confidently to changing prioritiesWe would LOVE to hear from you if you have the following skills and experience:

Previous experience in a generalist HR role, ideally as an HR Officer, HR Advisor, HR Coordinator or experienced HR AdministratorStrong generalist HR administration experience across a wide variety of responsibilitiesExperience supporting recruitment, onboarding, contracts and employee documentationSome experience supporting employee relations, such as absence, probation or meeting preparationComfortable working in a busy environment where priorities can change quicklyProactive, reliable and able to take ownership of your workExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to liaise at all levelsHighly organised with excellent attention to detailAble to handle sensitive and confidential information with tact and professionalismGood knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and WordCIPD Level 3 or 5 would be advantageousIf you are an HR Advisor looking for a hands-on, varied generalist role rather than a heavily ER-focused position, we would LOVE to hear from youWhat will you get in return for your work as an HR Officer?
