Description
Our client, a well-established organisation within the industrial and manufacturing sector, is seeking an experienced HR professional on a part time basis (approx 15 hours over 2 days) to take ownership of day-to-day HR operations across two sites, supporting approximately 60 employees. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on and knowledgeable HR specialist who thrives in a practical, fast-paced environment.
About the Role
In this standalone position, you'll be responsible for delivering an efficient and compliant HR function across both locations. The role encompasses HR administration, recruitment, employee relations, and general HR support to managers and staff. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring smooth HR operations and legal compliance across all aspects of the employee lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day HR support and guidance to managers and employeesManage the full recruitment process including job postings, interviews, offers, and onboardingMaintain accurate HR documentation and personnel records in line with company policies and legal requirementsAdvise on employee relations matters such as performance management, absence, and disciplinary or grievance issuesSupport HR reporting, metrics, and data managementAssist with HR projects, training, and engagement initiativesEnsure all HR practices comply with UK employment law
About You
Proven HR experience, ideally within a manufacturing or operational environmentComprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law - this is essentialConfident in providing practical advice on contracts, policies, and employee relationsStrong experience managing recruitment and onboardingExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levelsHighly organised, proactive, and able to manage priorities across multiple sites
