Description

Anderson Knight is delighted to be recruiting for an experienced Employee Relations Adviser on behalf of our client, a successful organisation based in Glasgow.

This is an excellent opportunity for an established HR professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has significant experience managing a high volume of complex employee relations cases. Working as part of a wider HR team, you will provide expert guidance and support to managers across the business, ensuring employee relations matters are handled effectively, consistently, and in line with employment legislation and company policy.

The Role

As Employee Relations Adviser, you will be responsible for managing a wide range of employee relations cases from initial consultation through to conclusion. You will partner closely with managers and stakeholders, providing commercially focused advice and practical solutions across a broad spectrum of people matters.

This role is best suited to someone who thrives under pressure, can manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and is confident dealing with challenging and sensitive situations.

Key Responsibilities

Managing a high volume of employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, performance management, capability, and conduct matters. Providing expert advice and coaching to managers on complex employee relations issues. Supporting and leading investigations, hearings, and appeals where required. Ensuring compliance with employment legislation, company policies, and HR best practice. Producing high-quality case documentation, reports, and management recommendations. Identifying trends and areas of risk, providing proactive solutions to minimise employee relations issues. Working collaboratively with the wider HR team to support organisational objectives and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Significant experience working in an Employee Relations-focused role. Proven experience managing complex and high-volume ER caseloads. Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice. Experience advising and influencing managers at various levels of an organisation. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. The ability to work effectively in a busy, fast-paced environment. Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands. CIPD qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.
