Description

This Turntable is in excellent condition, because has been carefully stored, and safely in the Original Box & all Protective Packaging.
Carefully looked after, then remained unused for approximately 20 years, last time it was used it had a service by the local B&O Authorised Dealer (Bernard Dickinson of Preston), including lubrication to the tangential arm assembly and double earthing of the 5 pin plug on the record deck. Plus, added a DIN Type “Adaptor to RCA Phono” fitted. It will therefore now allow connection and playback, ideally, via Pre-Amp to your Amp.

It also comes with the Original Bang & Olufsen Beogram 3000 Instruction Booklet, Stylus Brush etc. It is still protected by the original packaging, including foam pads around Stylus Arm assembly and tangential arm. (See photos).

The lid is difficult to photograph. It is intact and not damaged, but tiny marks are barely visible in a photo, only caused by really careful wiping with a duster. They do not detract from the otherwise excellent condition.

Beogram 3000 was a specially designed “Tangential Record Deck” (AKA a Turntable for Vinyl Records) with a lightweight tone arm featuring the patented suspension system - Optimum Pivot Point - preventing internal vibrations from interfering with sound reproductions.
This Beogram 3000 has an MMC4 pick up for optimum sound and minimal record wear. A record sensor, which automatically recognises size and with it, the correct speed. The platter reduces static electricity and thereby dust in the grooves, and the pendulum suspension made Beogram 3000 “Danceproof”.
The search system worked both forwards and backwards and the new Active Light system is all automatic, giving you light when you need it, for searching and changing your records etc.. A repeat function allows you to play the same record up to 7 times in a row.
Beogram 3000 was designed to be used within Beosystem 3000. Beogram 3000 does not have a built in RIAA (pre) amplifier and relies on this being in the receiver used with it. E.G. Beomaster 3000 - which this deck was designed to work with. (However, I used mine with Cambridge Audio and other Amps by including Pre-Amp)
