Hi, I’m looking to rehome my boy because he is unfortunately alone now. His elder cagemate passed from old age recently & their other cagemate has passed too.
He had previously never bit but he has always been very shy and timid and has not been handled due to this. Unfortunately he came to me this way from pets at home and he hasn't grown comfortable with me, he will sometimes come to the door but usually will run to one of his beds/hides when we come in his cage or make any loud noises.
Recently my daughter has stuck her fingers through the bars and he has bitten her, a full bite not a nip. This is the first time we have had an incident of biting with him, it has never happened before so we think it is down to stress with losing his cagemates etc.
He loves to explore his cage and enjoys enrichment time with stacking cups, hanging toys, etc. He has never had any health issues.
He unfortunately wouldn't come with his large cage as it is my sisters and she is wanting to sell it. He would come with a smaller cage i have. I'll attach a picture, it is the same cage but without the platform & tubes. He would need to be in a larger long term though as he is used to lots of space!
I unfortunately can't travel to drop him off as I don't drive. Please comment or message me if you are interested in adding him to your mischeif. I'm hoping for him to find a new home asap as I don't like the idea of him being alone
