Description

It is with a very heavy heart that I am looking to find a new home for my two beautiful bonded sisters, Penne (black) and Nugget (golden).

This is not a decision I have made lightly. Since moving house, I can no longer provide them with the space they deserve, and I would rather wait as long as it takes to find the right home than rush into the wrong one.

About Penne & Nugget
Born: December 2021 (Age 4)
Breed: Mixed breed (their mum was half giant, so they are both a good size)
Bond: Sisters who have been together since birth and must be rehomed together. They have never been separated and are very closely bonded.

Nugget (Golden) - Neutered
Nugget is the more confident and outgoing of the two. She loves people, enjoys treats (perhaps a little too much!), and is very food motivated. She doesn't mind being handled, although I tend not to lift her often now because of her size, as it can be uncomfortable for rabbits. She is the dominant rabbit and will happily try to steal Penne's food, so I recommend feeding them separately.

Penne (Black) - Neutered
Penne is the quieter, more reserved sister. She takes a little longer to trust people, but once she knows you, she is a lovely, gentle girl. She prefers not to be handled and may nip if she becomes stressed, so she needs someone who understands rabbit behaviour and respects her boundaries. She is perfectly happy spending her time playing and relaxing with Nugget. Unlike her sister, she's quite fussy with food and has never been particularly interested in fresh fruit or vegetables.

Both girls are litter trained and live on a diet of pelets (minimal) and hay, with very few treats due to trying to keep their weight down. They are also regularly vaccinated for indoors, and have had no health conditions. Vet has only recommend to keep an eye on Nuggets weight. I have them registered with ICR vets as they are a specialist vet for rabbits, and they have been wonderful with them for every checkup and their neutering.

I am looking for experienced rabbit owners who understand that rabbits are intelligent, social animals and require just as much care, attention, and commitment as cats or dogs. They are not pets for young children.

They will only be rehomed to a home that can offer:
- A spacious, rabbit-friendly living environment with plenty of room to run, explore, and binky.
- Daily access to a much larger exercise area.
- No hutches or cages. These girls will not be rehomed to inadequate accommodation.
- They require at least 3x2m living space.
- Someone with the time, patience, and knowledge to care for them properly.
- Ideally a home without young children or dogs. (They are comfortable living alongside my cat, but are easily frightened by dogs.)
- Recommend registering with a specialist vet e.g., ICR, Dick Vets. Not all vets are adiquate as rabbits are classes as exotic pets.

What's Included:
Their current enclosure will not be included, as it is only a temporary setup and not suitable for their long-term needs. I would much rather they go to someone who already has, or is prepared to provide, an appropriate permanent setup. However, I will send them with all of their belongings and accessories.

Please Read!!
Finding the right home is far more important to me than finding one quickly. I will ask questions about your rabbit experience and the accommodation you can provide, as I want to be certain these girls will have the happy, spacious life they deserve.

If you think you could offer Penne and Nugget a loving forever home, I'd love to hear from you. Please tell me a little about yourself, your rabbit experience, and the setup you have for them.
