Supply Planner (Graduate or early‑career professional)

Salary: Up to £30,000 DOE

Hours: 8–4 or 9–5 (flexible start between 8–9am)

Contract: Full‑time, Permanent

Location: Cheddar (3 days office / 2 days home)

About the Opportunity

We’re working with a well‑established manufacturing business seeking a proactive and analytical Supply Planner to join their growing team. This role is perfect for a graduate or early‑career professional who enjoys working with data, building strong supplier relationships, and contributing to smooth operational performance.

You’ll receive full training across purchasing, logistics, internal production, and demand planning, with support available to pursue CIPS Levels 4–6.

Key Responsibilities

* Analyse and prepare reports on stock availability, inventory levels, shipment schedules, supplier performance, and spend.

* Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring purchase plan changes are implemented effectively.

* Collaborate with international teams to support UK operations.

* Manage and resolve quality issues, returns, non‑conformances, and re‑fixings.

* Maintain high product availability across all internal sales divisions.

* Deliver excellent customer service to internal stakeholders.

* Receive cross‑training in logistics and internal production.

* Support continuous improvement initiatives with the Supplier Manager.

* Attend occasional international supplier visits and trade fairs.

What We’re Looking For

* Graduate or early‑career professional with an interest in supply chain or purchasing.

* Experience in data analysis, reporting, or supply chain activities is advantageous.

* Please note: This role is not suitable for candidates coming directly from sales without relevant analytical or supply chain experience.

* Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.

* Proactive, organised, and eager to learn.
